What is Welfare-to-Work Employment Assistance?

Welfare-to-Work is an employment program that helps families receiving CalWORKs Cash Aid become self sufficient by providing job search assistance and job training opportunities.

SERVICES:

• Job Training Scholarships up to $4500.00
• Paid positions with private businesses
• Paid On-the-Job Training
• Unpaid internships
• DRIVE Center drop-in work experience
• Child Care
• Transportation reimbursement
• Job search workshops
• Legal workshops
• Self-employment workshops
• Counseling
• Substance abuse and mental health services
• Financial aid for up to 12 months
• Housing assistance
